Applicable to all visitors and users of the e-portal and its subdomains

The terms of use of the Jouf Region Municipality e-portal and all its affiliated websites and subdomains apply to all visitors and users of the portal. Use of the portal may be suspended, restricted, or terminated in the event of any violation of the terms and rules of use or the approved Privacy Policy.

Your use of the e-portal constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the terms and conditions of use and any updates or amendments thereto. Jouf Region Municipality publishes updates on this page, and users are advised to review them periodically.

If you continue to use the e-portal after any amendments to the Terms of Use, this means you acknowledge and commit to those amendments, in accordance with relevant regulations and bylaws.


Use of the Jouf Region Municipality E-Portal

By using the Jouf Region Municipality e-portal, you acknowledge that you will refrain from the following:

  1. Using the e-portal in any way that causes or may cause a violation of the rights of Jouf Region Municipality or the rights of any third party.
  2. Sending, transmitting, or publishing any information or content that is or may be harmful, offensive, contrary to public morals, defamatory, or unlawful.
  3. Attempting to interfere with the operation or functions of the e-portal, including the use of any software, procedures, or devices intended to disable the site or affect its performance.
  4. Providing or uploading files to the e-portal that contain viruses, malicious software, or corrupted data.
  5. Taking any action that would cause excessive or unreasonable load on the infrastructure, servers, or networks associated with the e-portal.
  6. Accessing data or information not intended for the user or visitor, or attempting to access a server or account that the user is not authorized to access.
  7. Attempting unauthorized access to the e-portal, whether by using an incorrect password, impersonating another person, or attempting to perform any action on behalf of another person without authorization.
  8. Conducting tests, scans, or vulnerability assessments of systems, websites, or networks affiliated with Jouf Region Municipality without prior authorization.
  9. Sending unwanted emails to or through the portal, including unauthorized promotional or advertising messages.
  10. Using the Jouf Region Municipality e-portal to send messages or publish content in the Municipality's name, refer to it, or impersonate its name or capacity, including insulting or defaming the Municipality, its employees, or its websites, or publishing false news or information attributed to the Municipality without right.
  11. Violating the terms and conditions of use of the e-portal in any other way.

Registration

Some parts of the e-portal may require registration or login to the user account to benefit from certain services.

Upon registration, the user acknowledges that the information and data provided are correct, complete, and accurate, and undertakes to update them when needed. The user also undertakes not to register or log in using the name or data of another person without authorization.

The registered user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his/her login credentials, including the username and password, and is responsible for activities carried out through his/her account. He/she must notify the Municipality in case of suspected unauthorized use of the account.


Termination of Use

Jouf Region Municipality may, in accordance with relevant regulations and bylaws, suspend, restrict, or terminate the user's access to the e-portal or some of its services in the event of a violation of the Terms of Use, misuse of services, or the existence of security, technical, or legal reasons requiring so.

In the event of suspension or termination of access, the user may not attempt to circumvent the restriction measures or return to using the service through unauthorized means.

Jouf Region Municipality makes appropriate efforts to provide accurate and updated information through the e-portal, but errors, omissions, or delays in updating certain information may occur.

Accordingly, the user should verify the published information and rely on approved official sources and channels when needed. The Municipality bears no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the published content, unless such is contrary to the provisions of relevant regulations and bylaws.


Limits of Liability

The e-services provided through the portal aim to facilitate procedures and deliver services to beneficiaries.

E-services may be affected by technical factors beyond the Municipality's control, such as internet interruption or weakness, hardware or software failures, maintenance work, or emergency technical malfunctions.

Jouf Region Municipality strives to maintain the continuity of e-services and to take appropriate measures to address malfunctions and interruptions when they occur, in accordance with approved regulations and procedures.


Use of Information and Materials

The information and materials published on the pages of the Jouf Region Municipality e-portal and its affiliated websites are subject to update and amendment from time to time. The Municipality has the right to update, amend, or delete any content in accordance with the requirements of regulations and work needs, without this constituting an obligation to announce every amendment in advance.


Viruses and Malicious Software

Jouf Region Municipality takes appropriate technical measures to maintain the security of the e-portal and protect it from malicious software. However, it cannot be absolutely guaranteed that the site, its servers, or downloadable files are completely free of all viruses or harmful components.

Accordingly, the user is advised to take appropriate protective measures on his/her device and to verify the safety of files downloaded from the internet before using them.


Intellectual Property Rights

  • All intellectual property rights related to the Jouf Region Municipality e-portal, including design, content, images, logos, databases, and software elements, are reserved for the Municipality or their respective owners in accordance with applicable rights and licenses.
  • The content of the e-portal or any part of it may not be copied, republished, modified, distributed, or used in a manner that violates intellectual property rights or applicable regulations and bylaws.
  • The information and materials published on the pages of the e-portal are subject to the intellectual property rights regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Jouf Region Municipality reserves the right to take legal action against any unauthorized use or violation of these rights.
  • Publicly available content may be used within the limits permitted by the applicable regulations, licenses, and related rights, provided that the source is cited when required.
